Happy Mother’s Day – Grandma!

Reluctant Ones Let us get this straight. I am not vain or anything. At least I do not think so. It was as simple as this: the idea of being a grandma just never crossed my mind – not in any serious or deliberated way. My baby girl was my baby girl and her having a baby or babies for that matter was not something that I seriously contemplated. When I learned off her pregnancy, two thoughts came to mind. Knowing her medical history, I was concerned for her safety.

Earth Day 2016: What To Do And Wear

Changing Economies “My first real encounter with Earth Day celebrations was the year after our arrival in Canada. It was bad enough not having a boyfriend for New Year’s Eve. Now I had to cope with Valentine datelessness, feeling consummate social pressure from every retailer in America who stuck hearts and cupids in their windows by January second to rub it in.’” ― Joan Bauer, Thwonk Will you be dateless this upcoming Valentine’s Day? Fashion: Our Christmas Collection

The F’s Words Family, friends, food and fashion — well, that is the order for some. Others would include faith and that could come anywhere in the order. Faith is the reason for the season and to that we could add fellowship – with family, friends, neighbours and the people we meet along the way. And where better for this fellowship to take place than gathered at the table for wonderful meals – well dressed? Over the last few weeks, we have focused on posts that are Christmas-related and today
