Your Cells Do It
The cells of your bodies do it. In fact, some researchers says the cells in our bodies are completely replaced every few years. “Every seven years (or 10, depending on which story you hear) we become essentially new people, because in that time, every cell in your body has been replaced by a new cell.” (Source: Live Science) Whether you agree with the timeline there seems to be little arguing that change is happening in our bodies. My conversation and question in this Tuesday Thought with Claudette© is, “Why not reinvent your life as often as necessary?”
Since my last Tuesday Thought, I have been busying doing just that with my life. This is not a first time for me. I actually love to reinvent myself as shared in past posts about embracing changes. Many times in the past, the reinvention came about because of bad choices that were made about investments, a relationship partner or a deal gone sideways. Over the weekend, one of my intentions to reinvent myself in 2016 came about with my moving into a new place – one that more completely suit and match my needs, personality and preferred way of living at this stage of the journey.
Reinvent Before You Are Forced
You do not have to wait for a catastrophe to occur in your finances, relationship or on your job to reinvent your life. In today’s Tuesday Thought, I explore a Jamaica phrase most often heard in the context of music and specifically in what we call a “dancehall.” When the DJ plays a particularly popular or catchy song, after the first few bars or lines, he will stop the music and in the voice and style only an entertainer can really pull off exclaims, “Wheeeeeeel!” That is the shortened form of the phrase that many Jamaicans use when inviting you to stop what you are doing and try a new way – “Wheel and come again!”
And as I reinvent myself and I’m constantly curious about everything, I can’t wait to see what’s around the corner in newfound art and entertainment and exploration. Pam Grier

I share with you some tips how to recognize the signals telling you it is time to reinvent your life, replace the “old” cells (job, accommodation, car, whatever) and why it is not a bad thing to do.
