Everyday Wisdom For A Great Year

January Changes

new year changesThe first full week of 2016 is coming to an end and what a week it has been. We have covered a few topics since the start of the year but the underlying theme has been change – embracing and growing through it. In keeping with that, we too have undergone and made some changes and the one that I am most excited about is the start of the everyday wisdom feature that is now available to Subscribers and members of this community.

For the past six months, Fridays have been our roundup day. The post on this day would normally highlight the most visited, read, shared and/or commented on article of the week. However, with the winds of change blowing across my mind and with my never-ending desire to keep this blog fresh, interesting, inspiring, insightful and in-depth, we will begin something different this week.

Everyday Wisdom For You

Those of you who have already subscribed and opened my email to you on January 1, would know that the look of the KB Life Newsletter also underwent some changes. In that issue, you were advised of the new feature, Weekday Wisdom, that would start rolling out to Subscribers only every Monday through to Friday, beginning January 4, 2016. This everyday wisdom is “yours to use as best suits your needs. The intention is to help you prepare for the day – to live your best life, one day at a time.”

Sign-up and get yours!

What I will be doing on Fridays now is a roundup of these gems for non-subscribers. While it is more effective to get them first thing in the mornings to help you start the day, the value is not lost. I also want to give, without strings attached, as widely as possible. As well and admittedly there is an ulterior motive. I truly believe that you get what you give and as my deepest desire is to get love, inspiration, guidance and everyday wisdom, then I am freely sharing with everyoneΒ  interested.

Monday, January 4:

childLike A Child…

The first official work day of 2016 for most and like a child heading back to school after the holidays,

“I embrace the new experiences of this day. Taking no offense and giving none, I move through and in these hours towards the greatest and highest version of Me. All is well in my Life, Affairs and World.”

Tuesday, January 5:

This Year, I Will…

Have you created a vision board this year? It might seem like a waste of time but I assure you it is not. Use whatever you are most comfortable with – your phone, paper and pencil, poster paper and cut outs from magazine, whatever is easiest to help you clarify your intentions for 2016.

“A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more.” Rosabeth Moss Kanter

Wednesday, January 6:

smileMy Primary Mission Today…

“Whatever comes, whatever is delayed, whatever is gone today my primary mission is to smile more and let it go.”

There is no need to label anything – they are all lessons no matter the form they come in. So, smile as this too, whatever it is, shall pass.

Thursday, January 7:

just startJust Start!

“Everything isn’t in place. I don’t know the end goal but I am bursting with ideas for my ___________ . Today I will just start!

We often get inspiration from Source, Life, God, Higher Self – whatever name you choose – and we question it or delay, waiting for all the cards to be placed on the table. Don’t let this day end with you waiting. Just start!

  1. I don’t have a vision board but I have started a life goal journal that has been really motivational. I also ordered several large canvas prints of special family moments to put in my office/living room as a constant reminder of what matters in my life.

Wow that is an amazing idea – the canvas prints. I only this past weekend moved into a new place and thought about getting some prints like that for my walls. Thanks for your visit Diana!
