TGIF or T*GIF?
Did you get out of bed with the uppermost thought being – TGIF? Did a few choice expletives go with your thought?
Come on, you can tell me.
It has been a long week, an exciting but long one with the relocating of this blog from Blogger to WordPress. It is still a work in progress, elements missing but bear with me.
Fired the first assistant who orchestrated the move, had two others stepping forward to do a fantastic job of unpacking the promotion, SEO, and other boxes. My job is the writing, the communicating, the coffee drinking with you; then that was cut short yesterday when the site just went haywire.
“F*** this!” That was my preferred phraseology last night as we changed up and redesigned. Hope you like this – it might be temporary, but it is preferred as it is clean in presentation and ease of use.
In The News
Amy Schumer is in the news, again, for her profanity and audacity. Please do not get the impression that I am a celebrity watcher, what with the recent post about Jaden Smith and now mention of Amy Schumer. However, when my alerts this morning came up, the news of her speech at Glamour’s 2015 Women of the Year Awards in London on Wednesday caught my attention. The “catch d-k” part of it yes but more so this part:
“And no, I’m not going to apologize for who I am and I’m going to actually love the skin that I’m in. I’m not gonna be striving for some other version of myself.”
No, we do not necessarily have to be vulgar to say the same thing – in the end. However, my philosophy is: “Whatever floats your boat.” Personally, I am giving props to a woman who can stand up for herself, do her own thing, be comfortable in her skin and Speak Up!
From the Kitchen to…
One of my new favourite throwback products is coconut oil. Wrote about this recently and some recipes promoted by Whole Foods Market.
Well, it is on the move again and now it is heading for a bathroom near you!
Read this interesting article about uses of the “healthiest oil” and might I add, the most versatile. Coconut oil has many uses and benefits in our bathroom and for up keeping our bodies. Who knows it might help you catch some – whatever you are looking to catch. Check out the many bathroom uses of coconut oil and please share some of your own ideas for using the product.
That is it from me today. Friday is a major wind down day around here but would love to hear from you. Add a comment me on any of the topics covered this week, follow me on Twitter and would love to see you on Facebook.
